Conversation & recreation

We’re just two days away from the City of Lethbridge’s next Community Conversation where residents can participate in fun activities while asking questions and giving feedback on City programs and services. The public are invited to the ENMAX Centre, Thursday April 25 from 3-7 p.m. to learn about more than 45 local projects.

The event makes engaging in our community easy and fun with great activities and prizes. Including:

  • Shoot hoops for a chance to win NCAA Western Slam tickets
  • Enjoy free popcorn and Grizzly Soda samples from the ENMAX Centre
  • Participate in Sport Council’s roving gym
  • Check out a cool interactive light projector from Lethbridge Public Library - one of only five libraries outside of the United Kingdom with this technology!

All of this will be interwoven with information and community engagement opportunities on a wide variety of programs, services and upcoming projects across the city. Here is a small snippet of things to explore:

  • Before summer hits, be informed on the hot topic of water conservation
  • Learn what it takes to be a police officer, firefighter or paramedic in Lethbridge
  • Give feedback on cycling infrastructure
  • Share ideas on supporting businesses in the Downtown
  • Hear about upcoming road construction projects
  • Ask questions about curbside organics and what goes in your green cart
  • Need your water meter replaced? Book an appointment through 311
  • Get trained on how to do hands-only CPR and how to use a Stop the Bleed kit
  • Explore plans for new trails and pathways in our parks
  • Get a sneak peek at newly designed Transit hubs
  • Concerned about social issues in our community? Chat with our Community Social Development team about programs, and planning projects that will support our vulnerable populations

Community Conversations are a way to bring together all of the City projects seeking community feedback in one convenient location, making it easier for residents to participate. Public participation helps build a strong and connected community, informs council decision making and enhances the city we all call home.
