Giving mothers their flowers

A Lethbridge Mother's Day tradition continues in 2025. The Parks & Cemeteries team will, once again, offer complimentary roses to visitors at Mountain View Cemetery.

This initiative began in 2018, for both Mother’s and Father’s Day. It has been warmly received by the community. Mother’s Day is one of the most visited days at the cemetery. Staff are pleased to continue this tradition to honour the memory of loved ones and celebrate life.

The first 300 visitors can pick up a rose near the Mountain View Cemetery office, located at 1210 Scenic Drive South. The flowers are available on Sunday, May 11, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., or while supplies last.

The Parks & Cemeteries team will also offer complimentary flowers again on Father’s Day, which falls on Sunday, June 15.
