Marked annually in Canada on April 28, the National Day of Mourning serves to remember workers who have been injured, made ill, or lost their lives on the job. It reminds us of the importance of ensuring everyone gets home safely.

The City of Lethbridge is hosting an Earth Day event at Legacy Park on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day will feature fun and educational activities focused on caring for the environment, with experts from several local organizations available to share information and answer questions.

Starting Wednesday, April 29, Lethbridge Transit will implement new schedules across all routes. These changes are being made to improve service reliability and on-time performance. 

The City of Lethbridge is recognizing the community’s role in the continued success of the curbside organics program as it wraps up its third year.  

Earth Day also brings heaps of compost to giveaway, weekend activities and the return of the household battery collection program.
