The City of Lethbridge offers a Patio and Parklet Support Program to encourage businesses in the downtown area to install patios and parklets to help create a vibrant and active downtown. With this support program, we offer to:

• Cover all permit fees and charges
• Lend infrastructure to your business at no cost including pre-built parklet platforms, planters and bistro tables and chairs
• Match your costs for patio and parklet plants, planters, furnishing, barriers, etc. up to $1,000

Before you can request support for a patio or parklet, you must have an approved Patio or Parklet Permit.

To request infrastructure for your patio or parklet, please submit a Patio Infrastructure Request Form to us at by either:

• Emailing Justin Schipper 
• Drop-off at City Hall 

Please note that there are limitations on the amount of funding and infrastructure available. Because of this, we support funding and infrastructure requests on a first-come first-served basis.
