The City of Lethbridge created the Heart of our City Master Plan as part of the long-term objective to revitalize Downtown Lethbridge. The master plan provides a framework to guide future public improvements and private development to create a vibrant and economically thriving downtown. It also considers the unique planning requirements, taxation rules and development standards in the downtown area.

Key objectives

The Heart of our City Master Plan has three key purposes, which are to:

• Consolidate and refine previous and current visions, plans and studies related to Downtown Lethbridge
• Establish a comprehensive and coherent planning framework
• Provide strategic guidance for implementation of the plan

Heart of our City Committee

With the adoption of the Heart of our City Master Plan, Council formed the Heart of Our City Committee to represent Downtown Lethbridge and provide strategic leadership for its revitalization efforts.
