City of Lethbridge Service Level Changes

Monday, December 25 is Christmas Day.
Tuesday, December 26 is Boxing Day.
Monday, January 1 is New Year’s Day.
The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes over the holiday season.

Lethbridge 311

The Lethbridge 311 contact centre will be closed Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26 and Monday, January 1.

We have a 24/7 self-service site available at 311.lethbridge.ca to help with your questions. For urgent issues, a 24-hr trouble line is available by calling 311.

City Hall

City Hall will be closed from Monday, December 25 to Tuesday, January 2 at 8:30 a.m. Please note January 2 is the first day of new public hours at City Hall. You can read more here.

Waste and Recycling

The Waste and Recycling Centre will be closed Monday, December 25 and Monday, January 1.

Curbside collections scheduled for Tuesday, December 26 are moved to Saturday, December 30.

Community Animal Services

Community Animal Services will be closed on Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26 and Monday, January 1.

The public can access services on the website at any time including dog license payments, appointment booking, online complaint reporting and searching a list of found pets impounded at the shelter.

Transit Service

The Lethbridge Park ‘n’ Ride will be closed from Thursday, December 21 to Wednesday, December 27 and on Monday, January 1. Fee Assistance Program customers will not be able to pick up new/renew cards during these times.

Ride on Demand and Fixed Route transit schedules will run on Sunday service on December 26 and January 1 and there is no transit service on December 25.

ACCESS-A-Ride

ACCESS-A-Ride booking and customer service will run on Sunday service on Sunday, December 24, Monday, December 25 and Sunday, December 31.

All ACCESS-A-Ride services will be closed on Monday, January 1. 

Galt Museum & Archives/Fort Whoop-Up

The Galt Museum will be closed on Sunday, December 24, Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26 and Monday, January 1.

Fort Whoop-Up is closed for the season. 

Helen Schuler Nature Centre

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be closed on Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26 and Monday, January 1.

The Nature Centre will be open extended holiday hours December 27 through January 6, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will be several different interactive stations setup during the holidays for families to drop-in and enjoy, including:

• Busy Builders:December 27 - 30 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Visit the Nature Centre & let your imagination soar! Explore building & creating with a wide variety of materials! Discover the endless fun of loose parts play!
• PlayStations Unplugged:December 31 and January 2 & 3 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Fun activity stations & nature inspired board games set up for you & your family to enjoy!

Lethbridge Public Library

All branches of the Lethbridge Public Library will be closed on Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26 and Monday, January 1.

Branches will also close one hour early (4 p.m.) on Sunday, December 24 and Sunday, December 31.
