City opens funding for non-profit community projects

The City of Lethbridge is committed to helping non-profit organizations strengthen their capacity to serve their members and the community. Through the Community Capital Projects Grant (CCPG), funding is available to support facility construction, renovations, retrofits and major equipment purchases that enhance community services.

The CCPG prioritizes projects that promote inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility in recreational, educational and wellbeing opportunities. The grant has two funding streams:

Stream A: Planning Assistance

  • Supports professional planning and design services for capital projects (e.g., environmental site analysis, geotechnical reports, preliminary design and feasibility studies).
  • Funding: Up to $25,000 or 50 per cent of total project costs (whichever is less).

Stream B: Capital Assistance

  • Supports new facility construction, expansions, renovations, retrofits, tech upgrades and major equipment purchases.
  • Funding: Up to $200,000 or one-third of total project costs (whichever is less).

This is your opportunity to maximize funding from other sources and invest in essential community facilities. The application deadline for the CCPG program is March 31, 2025.

Eligible organizations that do not have a project that meets the CCPG requirements may be interested in the Make Your Mark grant program. Information and eligibility guidelines can be found here with applications being accepted until March 31, 2025.

Apply today and help build a stronger, more inclusive community!
