City seeking proposals for community wellbeing
Do you have an innovative program or service to advance community wellbeing? The City of Lethbridge wants hear about it!
We’re looking for innovative projects that fit within the funding rules set by the Governments of Canada and Alberta. To be funded, your idea needs to be submitted as a proposal that shows how it will improve community wellbeing by tackling needs, gaps and priorities in the recently refreshed Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy (CWSS).
Example of successfully funding programs and initiatives are youth mentoring programs, parental educational support programs, supports for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and capital housing needs. The type of program or initiative is dependent on the funding source’s eligibility requirements. Funding is available for two years, starting January 1, 2025.
How to apply
Interested applicants can apply now at lethbridge.ca/CSD by reading the Proposal Guide and completing the online application form. The application deadline is July 31, 2024.
Applicants who are seeking more information can come to the Call for Proposal (CFP) information session on Thursday, June 20 from 3-4 p.m. in the Culver City room at City Hall. A virtual information session is also being held on Monday, June 24 from 5-6 p.m.
Additional questions about the CFP can be submitted online via the CFP question form. All questions received will be answered and posted to the same website on July 17, 2024 for full transparency and ease of access to information for applicants.
As a grant application process, the CFP allows for a competitive approach that maximizes community feedback while maintaining alignment with grant funding requirements from the Governments of Canada and Alberta.
