Community champions needed before July 11

The application deadline is looming for those residents looking for an opportunity to apply to the Community Wellbeing Advisory Board (CWAB).

If you love the Lethbridge community and have experience in decision-making, governance and community building, the CWAB is an exciting and constructive way to give back to Lethbridge.

Applications are open until this Thursday, July 11, for the CWAB. The board supports the City of Lethbridge by promoting community wellbeing in alignment with the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and the recently refreshed and approved Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy (CWSS).

The primary role of the CWAB is to provide recommendations on how federal and provincial government funding is allocated within the community. The board also provides advice to the City on matters relating to the wellbeing of the community.

There are nine voting positions open on the CWAB and a diverse range of voices are being sought to represent the changing needs of the community. Indigenous perspectives are essential to this work and the CWAB has dedicated positions for Indigenous members.

The online application form and additional CWAB information can be found at lethbridge.ca/csd. Applications close on July 11.
