• Lethbridge City Council voted unanimously in favour of an amended motion to:

1. Approve the Water Conservation Plan and Strategy, as provided in Attachment 1, including the targets and updated Water Rationing Action Plan
2. Direct Administration to engage the ICI area as they draft the potential contents of an amending bylaw to the Water Bylaw 3999 for Council's consideration needed to give effect to the terms of this Water Conservation Plan and Strategy (which includes Scaling Water Rates) by Q4 2024 through an Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee meeting
3. Direct Administration to draft an amending bylaw to the Water Bylaw 3999 for Council's consideration needed to give effect to the Water Rationing Action Plan by May 14, 2024
4. Approve the Voluntary, Economic and Regulatory initiatives as presented, with the incentive programs for rain barrels, water-efficient toilets and xeriscaping contingent on future available funding

• As part of the Consent Agenda approval, the following items were carried: recommendation from Audit Standing Policy Committee for the 2023 City of Lethbridge Annual Report, recommendation from Assets and Infrastructure Standing Policy Committee for Decorative Crosswalks for Mental Health & Mental Illness, and recommendation of Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee for Industrial Municipal Tax Incentive (CC64) Application Review
• As part of the Consent Agenda approval, first readings were passed for Bylaw 6434 - 2024 Tax Installment Pre-Payment Plan Bylaw, Bylaw 6435 - 2024 Property Tax and Supplementary Property Tax Rate Bylaw, and Bylaw 6436 - 2024 Downtown BIA Tax Rate Bylaw. Second and third readings will take place at the May 14 City Council meeting
• Also passing first reading was Bylaw 6438: Land Use Bylaw Amendment re: 714 – 7 Street South and a Portion of 620 – 7 Avenue South. A Public Hearing on this matter is set for 3 p.m. on May 28
