  • Lethbridge City Council voted unanimously in favour on an Official Business Motion from Councillor Belinda Crowson re-committing its opposition to any and all coal developments that risk damage to the Oldman Watershed. Read the full news release here
  • Council conditionally approved several capital funding requests that would result in the development of 112 housing units, 82 of which would be held at affordable rates. Read the full news release here
  • Council voted unanimously in favour on an Official Business Motion from Mayor Blaine Hyggen to provide its endorsement of the Garden View Lodge project being undertaken by the Green Acres Foundation, as it will increase the affordable housing opportunities for seniors, a priority population group identified in the City of Lethbridge’s Municipal Housing Strategy
  • Council carried second and third readings for a Recommendation of Governance SPC - Bylaw 6454 Amendment to Council Code of Conduct Bylaw 6125
  • Council voted unanimously in favour on an Administration Submission from David Sarsfield, Deputy City Clerk, on Boards, Commissions and Committees. Three previous Council Committees will become Administrative Committees
  • As part of the Consent Agenda approval, the following items were carried:

o   Recommendation of Economic and Finance SPC – Tax Refund Request – 1210023180001

o   Recommendation of Economic and Finance SPC - Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation Grant Application

o   First reading for Bylaw 6478 - Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw

o   First reading for Bylaw 6480 - A Bylaw to Provide for the Closing of Certain Road. A Public Hearing will take place March 26 at 3 p.m.
