Earth Day Toxic & E-waste Roundup

Saturday, April 22 is Earth Day and what better way to celebrate than keeping those unused household cleaning supplies, solvents, oil, paint and old electronics out of the landfill!

Residents can drop off their household hazardous waste and electronic waste for free between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre. Participants are asked to use the College Drive South entrance into the ENMAX to keep traffic flowing.

Household hazardous waste and e-waste includes, but is not limited to:

  • Paint
  • Used oil
  • Antifreeze
  • Cleaning solvents
  • Gardening and pest control products
  • Light bulbs
  • Televisions
  • Mobile phones

See the full list of accepted items here.

The toxic and e-waste roundup is a pilot project that was initiated by Council in the summer of 2022. The program encourages residents to keep household hazardous waste and e-waste out of their black waste carts and landfill and provides a convenient location for drop off within city limits.

The roundup is for residential household hazardous waste and electronic waste only. Household hazardous waste and e-waste can be dropped off at the Waste and Recycling Centre year-round.
