Enjoy the final weekend of outdoor pools and spray parks!

It’s a bad news/good news situation.

The bad news? It’s the final long weekend of summer 2024. And that means outdoor pools and spray parks are set to close for the season.

The good news? Mother Nature is giving us great conditions to enjoy the sendoff! Forecast highs are into the high 20s and low 30s for the entire long weekend.

The pools and parks are closing at different times:

Westminster Outdoor Pool’s final day is Sunday, September 1 from 12 – 5 p.m.

Henderson Outdoor Pool’s final day is Monday, September 2 from 1 – 7 p.m.

Gyro Spray Park’s and Rotary Centennial Fountain’s (Galt Gardens) final day is Monday, September 2 from 12 – 6 p.m.

But wait, we forgot there is one more bit of good news!

Legacy Spray Park will remain open as long as Mother Nature provides enough heat. It operates from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. unless daytime temperatures peak below 21 C.

A decision to close Legacy Spray Park will happen once the weather forecast shows daytime high temperatures below 21 C for an extended period.
