Final stage of 2024 Whoop-Up Drive bridge rehabilitation

The final task of the Whoop-Up Bridge rehabilitation project is ready to proceed.

Crews will be back on the westbound lanes of the bridge tonight, August 20 at 9 p.m. They will be fixing and smoothing the pavement where the bridge meets the road, on the west end of the bridge. Lane reductions and a reduced speed of 50 km/h will be in effect in the work area. Motorists are asked to drive safely to ensure the safety of the workers.

Residents near the project area may experience additional noise as crews complete this work. Weather permitting, the project should be completed within four hours.

This final step will complete this stage of the project almost two weeks ahead of schedule. More work is planned for the summer of 2025.
