Thanks to available grant funding, the City is reopening intake to the grant program. Organizations who missed the Spring enrollment can apply for funding through this new intake period. Funding is available in two streams. Stream A covers professional services for planning and design phases. Stream B funds actual construction, renovation or retrofitting of facilities. This stream can also fund the purchase of major equipment or enhancements to facility technology.

Grant projects must be eligible for matching funds. Organizations will need to line up additional funding sources to make the project happen. CCPG can cover up to half of the costs for Stream A projects, with a cap of $25,000 per project. Stream B projects are eligible for up to one-third of the approved expenses, with a maximum of $200,000 per project. Projects can apply for funding in only one stream per grant cycle.

The application deadline for the new CCPG intake is July 15, 2024. For more information and to apply, please click here and for additional questions, organizations can email grants@lethbridge.ca.

Local not-for-profits are also encouraged to explore two provincial grant programs. The Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) offers two streams to upgrade, expand, buy or build public-use community facilities. CFEP Small offers up to $125,000. CFEP Big offers between $125,000 and $1 million. The Active Communities Initiative offers funding for capital projects that generate sport and recreation opportunities for Albertans.
