Mayor’s statement on Lethbridge-West by-election

On behalf of Lethbridge City Council, I want to congratulate new Lethbridge-West MLA-elect Rob Miyashiro on his by-election win Wednesday night.

Rob has a proven history of public service and has dedicated himself to our community in his various roles, including during his two terms on City Council.

I also want to congratulate my Council colleague John Middleton-Hope, as well as Layton Veverka, for their great campaigns. Every candidate had the common goal of supporting our city.

As always, Lethbridge City Council will continue to advocate for the supports we need in our city to best serve our residents. We are eager to work with Rob in his new role as our Lethbridge-West MLA and ensure Lethbridge’s priorities are met.
