Northside office fire under investigation

An investigation is underway into a commercial fire in north Lethbridge. Just after 11:40 p.m. on Friday, October 4, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to an office building in the 1300 block of 33 Street North. Crews from four fire stations worked quickly to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent properties.

No injuries were reported. The fire caused significant damage, with initial estimates at approximately $380,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Commercial property owners and business operators are encouraged to review their fire safety procedures and ensure suppression systems are up to date. Fire Prevention Week, observed October 6-12, is an excellent opportunity to conduct fire drills, check smoke alarms and evaluate workplace emergency response plans.
