Parking line re-painting Downtown this week

Crews will be out re-painting parking lines in Downtown Lethbridge beginning this evening, Monday, June 24.

This work, anticipated to take until Wednesday evening, weather permitting, will be completed in the evenings to minimize parking and business disruptions.

Besides on 6 Street South, between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue, only angle parking stall lines will be re-painted this year. Accessibility stalls will also be re-painted. Parallel lines will be re-painted next year.

Some parklets and patios will need to be temporarily removed to allow the line re-painting to be completed. Some areas with larger structures, such as Blanco on 6 Street, will be painted around. For those who park on the street overnight, we ask that you find alternative parking to allow crews to paint as many lines as possible.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and observe the on-site posted speed and all other construction signs.
