Re-Imagine Downtown grant applications for 2025 now open

Have a great idea for an event or program to boost vibrancy in the Downtown?

The 2025 Re-Imagine Downtown grant is now open for applications with $120,000 in funding available for successful applicants.

The Re-Imagine Downtown Activation Grant aims to support businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations and community-minded individuals in implementing initiatives, events and programs that activate the Downtown core. The program focuses on activating vacant and underutilized private and public spaces in Downtown Lethbridge.

For the 2025 Re-Imagine Downtown Activation Grant, there will be a particular focus on activating Galt Gardens Park. Events held in Galt Gardens Park are eligible for up to $15,000 per initiative, and events outside of Galt Gardens will be eligible for up to $10,000 per initiative.

Additionally, eligible districts' boundaries have expanded to include the Warehouse District and 13 Street North. Events held outside the June to September peak season will also be a priority for 2025.

Applications for the first intake are open until December 31. Events will be awarded in January 2025.
