Southside shed fire Tuesday afternoon

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire in the backyard of a home in the 1300 block of 14 Avenue South at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8.

Crews from four stations responded. On arrival, they found a shed on fire and that it had spread to a neighbour’s shed as well. Both sheds were destroyed and a City power pole was also damaged.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire before it further spread to two other neighbouring garages, although they both received minor damage.

City of Lethbridge Electric and Power crews also responded to the incident.

No injuries were reported.

A damage estimate is not yet complete.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
