Strategizing the future of Henderson Lake Park
The City of Lethbridge is excited to announce a new strategic plan for Henderson Lake Park. It’s one of our city’s premier green spaces, boasting a 24-hectare lake, mature green spaces, playgrounds and more than seven kilometres of pathways. It’s a vibrant destination offering activities, events and festivals throughout the year.
Located on the south side of Lethbridge, the park is connected to several iconic community spaces, including:
- Henderson Outdoor Pool
- Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden
- Lethbridge Tennis Club
- Henderson Lake Golf Course
- Wade Galloway Skate Park
- Spitz Stadium
- Lethbridge & District Exhibition
As the park continues to age, community needs may evolve. The City of Lethbridge Parks department is gathering feedback from residents to help shape the strategic plan. The document will guide future planning, improvement projects and the wholistic long-term vision.
“Henderson Park is very special to our community. We're excited to give residents a chance to share their ideas on how we can improve this wonderful space into the future," says Andrew Sommerville, Parks Planning Manager. "The plan will outline strategies, designs and priority projects to help us maintain and enhance the park for everyone in Lethbridge."
We want to hear from you! Please share your thoughts in the Henderson Park Strategic Plan survey, open until February 28, 2025.
