Supporting free water refills through the blueW initiative

As the hot southern Alberta summer continues, more than a dozen Lethbridge businesses are offering a cooling resource.

The blueW initiative is a community-based program offering free refills of clean tap water at local businesses. Look for a blueW sticker in the window to find places where you can fill up. And be sure to bring your own reusable bottle!

The City of Lethbridge joined the initiative in 2017. All participating businesses are displayed on the blueW website map. The City continues to work with businesses to ensure the map is up-to-date. To sign up, businesses can fill out an online form or email H2Oinquiries@lethbridge.ca.

The community can also stay hydrated at one of four public drinking stations. The water outlets are in Nicholas Sheran Park, Legacy Park, Henderson Lake Park and Galt Gardens.
