Temporary traffic signal changes at 4 Avenue & 7 Street South

Starting Monday, August 21, the traffic signals will be temporarily removed at 4 Avenue and 7 Street South and the intersection will temporarily be converted to an all-way stop to facilitate construction. 

The section of 7 Street South between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue South will continue to remain closed, but businesses are open and sidewalk access and nearby parking is available.

This temporary intersection change and 7 Street closure is part of the multi-faceted infrastructure project, with further background here and at Get Involved Lethbridge.

Here are a few safety reminders for everyone:

• Drive with extra caution near the construction area and obey the posted speed limits
• Watch for construction signs and be mindful of works and equipment in the vicinity
• Expect lane reductions which will cause traffic slowdowns
