Two early morning fires under investigation
Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) responded to two separate fires in south Lethbridge early Friday, February 7.
Crews were first dispatched shortly after 3 a.m. to a shed fire in the 300 block of 23 Street South. The fire spread to a fence and a small utility trailer before firefighters from three stations quickly contained it, preventing further damage.
Just after 4 a.m., LFES responded to a garage fire in the 600 block of 15 Street South. The fire had spread to an adjacent fence before crews from three stations brought it under control.
No injuries were reported in either incident. Estimated damage is $30,000 to $50,000 for the shed fire and $25,000 to $30,000 for the garage fire. Both fires are under investigation.
