Updated video designed to help users with parking, plus incentive days announced for December Downtown

As the holiday season is upon us and more people head to Downtown Lethbridge to do their holiday shopping, we have created an updated video to help customers understand all matters related to parking and make their experience in the Downtown a more positive one.

In addition, as a collaboration with the Downtown Business Revitalization Zone and the Heart of Our City Committee (HOCC) – the City is offering free Downtown parking days on December 4, December 11 and December 18. These days are to encourage customers to visit the Downtown and promote the businesses.

“The holiday season is highly important to all of our businesses Downtown, but especially to the small businesses, so we are thrilled to collaborate with the City to offer some extra incentive free parking days this month,” says Sarah Amies, Executive Director of the Downtown BRZ.

“We are pleased to work with our stakeholders to help promote these incentivized days,” says Phillip Berg, Parking Coordinator. “Our team has also created a video outlining how to use the parking kiosks and some general Downtown parking information that we believe will be helpful.”

Some of the topics covered in the video include:

  • Step-by-step instruction on how to use the kiosks
  • Features of parking kiosks
  • Payment requirement hours
  • Various payment methods
  • Some concerns experience by users
  • Only having to pay once in a zone until time expires
  • Using any kiosk to pay
  • The location of help menu and service Ph#

The City of Lethbridge offers a wide variety of ways to pay for parking. Those methods include coins, credit cards, re-loadable parking cards, mobile payment, debit tap, Google Pay, Apple Pay and the Business Add Time to Plate Program.
