Updates to Spray Park hours

Starting this week, Lethbridge spray parks will have some slight adjustments to open hours of operation.

The Rotary Centennial Fountain, in the southeast corner of Galt Gardens, will return to being open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Legacy Spray Park, which sits in the north end of Legacy Park, will remain open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. unless daytime temperatures peak below 21 C.

Residents are also encouraged to contact 311 to confirm hours.

A reminder to our residents that water conservation has played and continues to play a role in this year’s Spray Park operations:

  • The overwhelming majority of water at Legacy Spray Park and Rotary Centennial Fountain is cleaned and recycled
  • Hours have continued to be adjusted to fit community needs and weather conditions
  • The water height at Rotary Fountain is being lowered to reduce evaporation
  • The Gyro Spray Park, located behind Nicholas Sheran Arena, does not use recycled water and will only open during prolonged stretches with daytime highs above 30 C

Spray parks are free of charge and will remain open until the Labour Day long weekend in September, or as summer weather permits.
