Southgate Park
Located in the Southgate and Coulee Creek communities of south Lethbridge, this quiet park provides a serene reprieve from busy city life.
The storm pond offers habitat for several species of birds including mallards, American coot and Canada geese, which can often be found nesting in the riprap. A number of aquatic plants have established over the last few seasons including cattails, rushes as well as pink water lilies which can be seen flowering throughout July and August.
Pathways in this park connect to two adjacent parks, Coulee Creek and Ridge parks. These parks also feature ponds with frequent nature visitors, a playground and even more paved pathways to explore.
