Sunridge Park
Sunridge Park
Sunridge Park is a unique park that celebrates nature and the ability of wetland ecology to improve water quality. The lake and wetlands of Sunridge Park are a functional storm pond system and many informational signs are posted throughout the park to explain how the wetlands work to reduce contaminants in storm water. A boardwalk is available to explore part of the wetland, as well as bridges, fountains and even a waterfall.
There are also playground areas in the park suitable for all ages featuring climbing apparatus, swings, slides and picnic tables for your visit. An extensive trail system meanders through the park providing exercise and nature enthusiasts alike ample opportunity to enjoy the park. There is some open green space located on a hill making it perfect for sledding in the winter or fitness challenges in the summer.
This is definitely one of the City’s must see parks.
