West Highlands Park
West Highlands Park
If you are looking for a tranquil outdoor space, this park is for you. The park features trails that meander along the lake and throughout the rest of the park, multiple areas for reflection, and a covered kiosk area ideal for picnics. Take a quiet stroll around the lake and enjoy the a unique pedestrian bridge that crosses over the water and offers views of park wildlife and water features.
The park also features a play area ideal for younger children and open space for those wanting to exercise their creative side, or burn off a little extra energy. The trail system connects the park to the West Highlands community and is a great scenic addition to any exercise enthusiast regular route day or night as the park is lit.
In June of 2014 BioHaven® Floating Islands from VITA Water Technologies were installed in the pond. The Floating Islands will enhance the environmental and biological health of the pond and create wildlife habitat in the same way as Mother Nature.
With plenty of parking and multiple accesses this park is great for anyone living nearby or across the city to stop by and enjoy.
