City Council has unanimously passed a resolution to continue proactive steps in addressing water supply concerns and implementing strategic solutions to combat water scarcity. The action is in response to persistent drought conditions in southern Alberta, resulting in below-normal levels in every reservoir.

The City of Lethbridge, in partnership with the province and regional partners, is continuing proactive measures to address the current water supply concerns.

It probably comes as no surprise that limited precipitation in 2023 has led to lower than typical water reserves across southern Alberta. The City of Lethbridge is carefully monitoring and taking proactive steps to ensure a sustained water supply for the region.
