  • Lethbridge City Council voted to direct Administration to conduct and complete a mechanism for improving how the City of Lethbridge does Fee For Service agreements, as well as to conduct review plans for Economic Development Lethbridge and Tourism Lethbridge, and return to Council, through an Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee, with the findings no later than Q1 of 2026
  • As part of the Consent Agenda approval, the following items were carried: 

o   Transportation Safety Plan update

o   First reading to Bylaw 6427 – Bicycle Bylaw. Council will consider second and third readings on November 12

o   As part of the Non-Profit Affordable Housing Tax Grant Program, Council is to direct Administration to return to an Economic and Finance SPC in Q1 2026, or earlier, following implementation of the Government of Alberta’s Bill 20: Municipal Affairs Statute Act, 2024 with an overview of its impact on a municipal tax rebate program, and funding options for Council consideration

o   First reading to Bylaw 6455 – Amendment to Bylaw 6146 – the Waste Bylaw. Council will consider second and third readings on November 26

o   First reading to Bylaw 6466 – 2025 Electric Distribution Tariff Bylaw. Council will consider second and third readings on November 26

o   First reading to Bylaw 6457, a Bylaw to amend Bylaw 3250 – Sewerage Service Charge Bylaw. Council will consider second and third readings on November 26

o   First reading to Bylaw 6456, a Bylaw to amend Bylaw 3999 – Water Services Bylaw. Council will consider second and third readings on November 26

o   Denial of a tax cancellation request

o   An Amendment Request for Affordable and Social Housing Capital Funding- Streets Alive Mission
