Three water main breaks cause road closures in south Lethbridge

A series of water main breaks are affecting some key roads in south Lethbridge.

Road closures currently in effect are as follows:

• The northbound lanes in the 800 Block of 13 Street South are closed. The water main break has been repaired and paving will take place in the coming days
• Both directions of 9 Avenue South between 14 Street South and 15 Street South are closed

• The intersection of 5 Avenue South and 6 Street South is closed

Detours are in place at all three impacted areas. Motorists are asked to drive with care in these areas and follow all posted signage. 

Crews are working to repair these breaks as soon as possible and hope to have repairs completed by Friday, November 8, weather permitting.
