Whoop-Up Drive rehabilitation project update – center lane closure begins Monday, July 8
With the continuation of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge rehabilitation project, work will be moving from the inside lane to the centre lane of Whoop Up Drive westbound beginning July 8, 2024. Traffic will be directed to merge around the lane closures. The work on westbound lanes is expected to be complete by approximately Labour Day weekend in September.
How motorists can help.
- Add extra time to your commute to help reduce frustration due to delays.
- Be courteous to other drivers. Reduce wait times by taking turns entering the lane reduction area. Learn how to zipper merge.
- Reduce speed for your safety, and the safety of community members who are working onsite.
- Follow all posted signage and traffic controls.
