    Cyanobacteria, more commonly known as blue-green algae, has been identified in Henderson Lake.

    As we head deeper into the hot months of July and August, the City of Lethbridge is sharing a reminder of City resources available to help residents stay cool and safe.

  • Partial closures within Discovery Playground

    Portions of the Discovery Playground, in Legacy Park, will be closed to the public for the rest of this week.

    Warranty repairs are being completed on the rubber surfacing. Isolated areas will be fenced off as the contractor completes the restorations.

    The Parks & Cemeteries team is delighted to announce the inaugural “Run to Remember”.” Taking place on September 29, 2024, the event is a community-oriented fun run or walk. It commemorates and honours the memories of loved ones and celebrates life.

  • Weekend paving to impact Lethbridge Sports Park access

    Annual paving work along northbound 28 Street North is scheduled for June 22 and 23. The project runs from the 26 Avenue North ramp to 30 Avenue North. Two way-traffic will be maintained in the southbound lanes of 28 Street North.

    Environment Blitz Days!

    Get ready for an environmental education! The City of Lethbridge Parks & Cemeteries and Water, Wastewater & Stormwater teams are gearing up for three days of teaching and action.

    Grazing Glory: the weed-eating goats have returned!

    For the past six summers, goats have controlled invasive weeds in select areas of Lethbridge’s river valley. Since the introduction of the program, more than 750 hectares of noxious plants have been grazed.

    The stream feature at Prarie Arbour Park will soon be flowing again. It has been inactive for the past two summers due to damage to its rubber lining.
