    City Council secures $200K grant for Safe Reporting program

    “We’re very grateful to our partners at the Government of Alberta for providing the funding to assist in the creation and delivery of this program,” says Councillor, Jenn Schmidt-Rempel. “Building towards safer and healthier outcomes for our community is a top priority for Council. This program will work to support those goals and will be another valuable resource for those who need it.”  

  • Council designates Whitney Block as Municipal Historic Resource

    Lethbridge City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to designate a new Municipal Historic Resource. The three-storey Whitney Block, located at 411 3 Avenue South, is a square, brick commercial building located close to Galt Gardens in the downtown core – and now becomes the 30th Municipal Historic Resource in Lethbridge.

    Scooters and e-bikes could be back in Lethbridge later this year. Lethbridge City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to continue to permit shared micro-mobility services in the city.

    Community benefit guides Council’s decision to approve agreement with Exhibition

    Today, Lethbridge City Council voted 7-2 in favour of entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lethbridge & District Exhibition (LDE). Subject to the Government of Alberta approving the proposed MOU, the agreement will create an interim governance structure comprised of City of Lethbridge and Lethbridge County administration.

    City Council approves proactive measures to address low water levels

    City Council has unanimously passed a resolution to continue proactive steps in addressing water supply concerns and implementing strategic solutions to combat water scarcity. The action is in response to persistent drought conditions in southern Alberta, resulting in below-normal levels in every reservoir.
