To accommodate the second annual Lethbridge Block Party on Saturday, June 15, the following road closures will be in effect starting at 7 a.m. that day: 6 Street South between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue; 3 Avenue South between 5 Street and 7 Street; and 4 Avenue South between 6 Street and 7 Street.

City Council has been busy recently with several important items for the community.

Lethbridge & District Exhibition (LDE) submitted their June report to Economic Standing Policy Committee today, including a financial and operating update to the end of April 2024.

Scheduled patching work will impact westbound traffic on Whoop Up Drive. The work begins Friday, June 14 at 9 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

Another half-dozen events are benefitting from the Re-Imagine Downtown Activation Grant. The Grant aims to breathe new life into vacant and underused spaces in Lethbridge’s core. Six projects have been approved in the second intake period.

Traffic will be impacted as crews complete patching work along a small stretch of 6 Avenue South.

The project begins Thursday, June 13 at 9 a.m. Single-lane closures will be in effect in both directions between 10 Street and 11 Street South.
