I was pleased to attend yesterday’s budget announcement in Edmonton, on behalf of Lethbridge City Council. Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire on Temple Crescent West shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 27.
Crews arrived to find a significant fire on the front porch, spreading toward the attic. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, preventing further damage to the home.
Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is in place on all open fires within the City of Lethbridge’s River Valley. Current weather conditions, including warmer temperatures, low humidity and forecasted winds, significantly elevate the fire risk in the River Valley.
