    The 2025 Re-Imagine Downtown grant is now open for applications with $120,000 in funding available for successful applicants.

  • Yard Waste Site drive up bins
    Yard Waste Sites closing for the season

    If you’ve been looking for the final push to drop off those remaining fall yard waste bags, here it is. Sunday, November 17 is the final day the three City yard waste sites will be open this year. The sites will be closed for the season Monday, November 18.

  • Mandatory waste reporting for businesses now open

    The City of Lethbridge is reminding businesses, organizations and institutions to submit their annual mandatory waste diversion report for 2024.

    The free and easy-to-use online system is now open for waste reporting and takes less than five minutes to complete. Reports must be submitted by January 31, 2025.

    Traffic delays tomorrow along Scenic Drive South

    Temporary traffic delays are expected tomorrow, Thursday, November 14: 

    • Northbound and southbound lanes of Scenic Drive South between 2 Avenue South to the westbound Whoop-Up Drive exit will be affected by moving, single-lane closures from 9 am – 3 pm.
    • Speed reductions and minor delays to traffic on the westbound Whoop-Up Drive ramp. 
  • LT Lethbridge Transit Bus Terminal
    cityLINK route changes in effect starting November 13

    Starting on Wednesday, November 13, Transit users can expect some changes to routes around the city as part of Lethbridge Transit’s continuous improvement process.

  • Road Closure – 5 Avenue North between 36 Street and 39 Street

    Starting on Tuesday, November 12, 5 Avenue North will be fully closed between 36 Street and 39 Street for road and railway crossing repairs.

    Monday, November 11 is Remembrance Day. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.

  • Traffic light work to impact University Dr W/Bridge Dr W intersection

    A small portion of northbound University Drive West will be impacted by traffic light work this week.

  • Northside garage fire under investigation

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) responded to a residential garage fire at the 1000 block of 16 Street North on Friday, November 1, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Firefighters from four fire stations arrived to find the garage fully engulfed in flames

  • Veterans Avenue naming, plus information for local Remembrance Day ceremonies

    Leading up to Remembrance Day, the section of 4 Avenue South between Stafford Drive (9 Street) and 11 Street will be temporarily renamed Veterans Avenue. The Lethbridge Remembrance Day Committee also has two concurrent 2024 Lethbridge Remembrance Day Services set for Monday, November 11.
