  • Scenic Drive South bridge work

    Maintenance work is set to take place this week on the Scenic Drive bridge over Whoop-Up Drive. 

    On July 9 and 10, single-lane closures on Scenic Drive will be in effect and two-way traffic will be maintained. 

  • July 10 is Environment Blitz Day!

    The City of Lethbridge’s Parks & Cemeteries and Waste & Environment teams are excited to host and celebrate Environment Blitz Day. This fun and free event happens at Nicholas Sheran Park on Thursday, July 10, from 3 to 7 p.m. 

  • University Drive West bridge work

    Starting Monday, July 7, maintenance work will begin on the University Drive West bridge over Whoop-Up Drive, which will see single-lane closures. 

  • 5 Street South temporary lane and parking closures

    As part of the Reimagine 5 Street South project, geotechnical testing will be taking place that may cause minor disruptions for users of 5 Street South, between 1 Avenue and 6 Avenue.  

  • Single lane closures on University Drive West

    Pedestrian tunnel maintenance is resulting in single lane closures along a small portion of University Drive West.

  • Service Level Changes for Canada Day

    Tuesday, July 1 is Canada Day. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.

  • Road closures and detours during Pride Parade this Saturday

    The annual Pride Parade in downtown Lethbridge is tomorrow, June 28. 

    The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Stafford Drive South, next to the Civic Ice Centre, and ends on 5 Street South, on the west side of Galt Gardens. 

  • River Valley fire ban in effect

    Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is in place on all open fires within the City of Lethbridge’s River Valley.

    River safety reminders for a safe and enjoyable summer

    As the summer season unfolds, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services reminds residents and visitors to stay safe while spending time on or near the Oldman River. 

  • Smoke alarm and neighbours help prevent serious fire

    Quick-thinking neighbours helped limit damage during a north Lethbridge house fire Tuesday evening. 

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire on Tuesday, June 24, in the 1500 block of 7 Avenue North.
