    Public Safety Communications Centre upgrading phone system

    In preparation for Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG 911), the Lethbridge Public Safety Communications Centre is upgrading their phone system to move to a computer-based, softphone solution.  This transition will take place on January 31 beginning at 9 a.m. and should be completed by 12 p.m.

    ​As the winter weather takes hold, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind residents and businesses of the owner's responsibility to ensure vacant buildings are secure to prevent unauthorized entry. This would include all vacant properties such as residential homes, garages and commercial properties.

  • Council approves next four-year operating budget

    ​Lethbridge City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to adopt the Economic Standing Policy Committee's recommendations to amend the City of Lethbridge's 2023-2026 Operating Budget.

    With its approval, the 2023-2026 average annual change in municipal tax rate is 5.1 per cent for each of the next four years. This is equal to a $129.93 per year per single family house, based on an average market value of $285,800.
