  • Lane closures on 13 Street South

    Beginning Wednesday, September 17, a storm drain repair will impact a stretch of 13 Street South. 

    Both lanes will be closed at 15 Avenue South. 

  • 13 Street South watermain repair

    The southbound lanes of 13 Street South between 9 Avenue and 10 Avenue will be closed for a watermain repair.  

  • Significant damage after overnight fire on McGill Blvd

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire on McGill Boulevard West this morning at 12:30 a.m. Crews from four stations were dispatched after a 9-1-1 call reported a fire on the second floor. 

  • Fallen Firefighters Memorial taking place Thursday

    On Thursday, September 11, Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services will host the annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial Parade and Ceremony. This memorial is held to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty during the past year and to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication and sacrifice of all uniformed personnel who serve their communities. 

  • Signal upgrade for busy north Lethbridge intersection

    A busy north Lethbridge intersection will operate as a four-way stop on Wednesday, September 10.

  • Lethbridge Animal Shelter pauses intakes after high volume of animal seizures

    The Lethbridge Animal Shelter is full and facing significant space challenges.

    In the past week, three ongoing investigations led to the intake of 20 animals, including several dogs.

  • Crowsnest Trail Pathway construction begins this season

    The Crowsnest Trail Pathway will run from Mayor Magrath Drive South, near the intersection of 4th Avenue South, along the south side of the Crowsnest Trail (Hwy 3), and into the WT Hill Business Park area. Construction is expected to begin this week, and continue until late fall, and resume in spring of 2026. 

  • Garage and vehicle fire under investigation

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a garage and vehicle fire on Sunday, August 31, after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls at approximately 12 p.m. When crews arrived in the alley behind the 300 block of 19 Street North, they found heavy smoke and active flames. 

  • ‘Snow’ way we’re talking about winter: snow route windrow assistance sign-up opens today

    While sunny weather is still beaming down on us, the City of Lethbridge is getting ready for winter operations and asking snow route residents to prepare. Households who need Windrow Assistance Service are advised to call 311 before Friday, October 10 to sign up or renew subscription. 

  • Service Level Changes for Labour Day

    Monday, September 1 is Labour Day. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.
