In preparation for our Dog Waste Awareness Month in June, the City of Lethbridge will be holding five dog park cleanups.

Friday, April 3 is Good Friday and Monday, April 6 is Easter Monday. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.

Blaine Hyggen, Mayor of the City of Lethbridge, has provided notice that a Special Closed Meeting of City Council will be held at 10:00 AM. on April 14, 2026, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, City of Lethbridge, with the following item on the Agenda: 

Procurement Practices (ATIA Sections 19, 29 and 31). 

Elm bark beetles may be tiny, but they can take down a healthy elm with a single bite. A province‑wide pruning ban and a watchful community could be the difference between losing our shade and saving it.

The City of Lethbridge’s three self-service yard waste sites are open for the season starting Wednesday, April 1. All three locations will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Effective immediately, the northbound lanes in the 500 Block of Stafford Drive North are closed. 

Two-way traffic is being maintained in the southbound lanes of Stafford Drive, between 5 Avenue and 7 Avenue North.
