The City of Lethbridge is joining municipalities worldwide in recognizing World Water Day. Beginning in 1993, the day is held on March 22 every year and focuses on the importance of freshwater. In an effort to highlight the importance of this resource, the City is updating residents on current water initiatives.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire in a backyard at the 1200 block of 8 Avenue South at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024.  

On Thursday March 21, the City of Lethbridge will be completing a planned power outage along Normandy Road South and Corvette Crescent South. The outage is expected to be in effect between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and affect approximately eight properties.

On Wednesday March 20, the City of Lethbridge will be completing a planned power outage along the back lane between Dieppe Boulevard South and Normandy Road South. The outage is expected to be in effect between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and affect approximately nine properties.

Not-for-profit organizations are being urged to complete their applications for the 2024 Community Capital Projects Grant (CCPG) ahead of the March 31 deadline. The Grant provides financial assistance for non-profits to construct, renovate or retrofit facilities, or purchase major equipment required for effective operation of community facilities and services.

With more snow in the forecast this week, the City of Lethbridge wants community feedback about recent snow and ice control changes.
